In 2007, Meme was engaged as Artistic Director of Connecting Identities to envisage the concept for a three year arts project that could address the issue of identity in a rapidly changing post-industrial Geelong. In consultation with traditional owners and Arts & Culture Department, Meme proposed Mountain to Mouth as an extreme arts walk creating a contemporary songline across Geelong. Meme directed the pilot, Mouth to Mountain, in 2009, and subsequently the multi-award winning M~M2014 and M~M2016.


Bryon Powell

Bryon Powell

Uncle Bryon Powell is a Wathaurung Elder and Chair of Wathaurung Corporation. Bryon has been involved in Native Title and Cultural Heritage issues for many years working as a Projects Officer with Wadawurrung in Ballarat. He is an advocate for Aboriginal cultural heritage recognition and equality and an educator of the wider community in Aboriginal issues.

Barry Hill is an acclaimed historian, writer and poet. His books include The Best Picture, Raft, Sitting In (an award-winning account of the longest industrial action in Australian history) and The Road To Uluru. Broken Song won many awards on its release.
