Philip Lethlean has designed lighting for over 250 original Australian productions in his 30+ year career. Working in collaboration with diverse creative teams, Philip has lit productions across all genres from theatre, opera, ballet, concerts, puppetry, circus, and comedy, both within Australia and Internationally.

Philip is skilled in designing from the whole palette of possibilities and budgets. Lighting site-specific works is the area of his experience that M~M brings to the forefront.

His backgronnd for this project includes  2008 Connecting Identities Memory Bank β€œFrozen in Time” by Donna Jackson at the Wool Museum, the 2009 M~M  Culminating Ceremony at Big Rock, the You Yangs, and both the 2016 ceremonies in Geelong, as well as the culmination at Barwon Heads, which he will also undertake in 2018. Another Geelong project was the lighting of the 2014 original floating Christmas tree

Philip is a recipient of an Australia Council for the Arts, Creative Fellowship and has received numerous Helpmann and Green Room nominations and awards.
