Jeffrey Harwood moved from Sydney to Ocean Grove in 2013 to work at the Andrew Love Cancer Centre, University Hospital Geelong.
In Sydney he was playing bass and guitar in JuliaWhy? and since moving to the Bellarine has been playing acoustic gigs in the region. He’s also established connections with community groups including Disabled Surfers Association and the Ocean Grove Community Garden. The move from Sydney to the coast has allowed Jeffrey to spend more time focusing on songwriting and has been developing material for his first album. Jeffrey describes his musical style as contemporary pop with a strong narrative.
For Connecting Song he will be writing about the coastline around the Ocean Grove area, capturing the location’s history, as well as the connection to the land and the sense of community.
