Teresa Lawrence decided, after studying Textile Design at RMIT, to employ the drawing skills she had developed to pursue a career in children’s book illustration with many publications completed.
Teresa returned to university to gain a more academic understanding of children’s literature as well as the history of art. She returned to practical art study and completed a Diploma of Visual Art, majoring in printmaking and painting, completing this in 2012.
Teresa has participated in many group shows in both print and painting. Most recently, she was a finalist in the 2015 Silk Cut Awards. She works as an art facilitator at Karingal Participate and regularly holds art workshops in the wider adult community as well as facilitating after school art programs for children at the Geelong Art Society.
