Born and bred in Geelong, Fatty Phew takes pride calling this place his home. He first started writing hiphop lyrics in 1996 as a natural progression from short stories and poems.
As young as 6 or 7 he began writing stories and poems while always looking out for other creative outlets to express himself. He has made beats, painted and developed his photography and videography skills, which he has applies to hiphop as well.
Phew has found hiphop to be a great way to express himself and reachwider audience of like-minded people. The art of rap has allowed him to express a wider range of emotions than he was able to do by singing.
For Connecting Song he will be writing about Geelong city, focusing on mall youth culture.
