Dear Walkers,
As you are aware, Mountain to Mouth is an all-weather event.
And as you may be aware, the Bureau of Meteorology forecast for Friday 4 May is less than perfect.
The Geelong and Surf Coast area will be hit by north-westerly winds 25 to 40 km/h tending westerly 35 to 55 km/h in the morning then tending west to north-westerly 25 to 35 km/h in the evening.
Partly cloudy, there is a medium (50%) chance of showers and a chance of a thunderstorm.
To this end, contingencies for the event have been put in place and we will be posting regular updates via our Facebook pagehttps://www.facebook.com/mtomgeelong/ and at all Songline Stations along the walk.
The great news is that Saturday’s forecast is promising, partly cloudy, with a maximum of 21 degrees.
If you’re coming to the Gathering of the Elders Ceremony at the You Yangs – although the Ceremony may be a little different to the one we currently have planned – there will still be a ceremony!
We are definitely putting the extreme into our Extreme Arts Event!
