Photographer: Paul Muir

M~M is Geelong’s biennial Extreme Arts Walk.  It is an 80 kilometre journey along a contemporary songline from the You Yangs Mountain to the Barwon River Mouth across the municipality of Geelong and Borough of Queenscliffe, featuring the Geelong After Dark night arts event at the city centre.

6 District Co-ordinators will be engaged from late October 2015 until mid-May 2016 on a casual basis with the M~M2016 Project Team at the Arts & Culture Department, City of Greater Geelong.

Primary responsibility will be the co-ordination of community engagement in the M~M2016 Walk for two Stations (resting points) situated along the route – at Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads.  Prior experience in event management is an advantage, however the main skill required is excellent communication and knowledge of the local communities and an interest in the arts and environment.  Particular consideration will be given for applicants who have experience and networks relating to coastal environments and communities.

Applicants will be contracted for a fee, which will comprise payment for the equivalent of approximately 20 days work across a six month period.
