This path is sealed and mostly flat with some moderate inclines and declines.

Walkers leave the Lara RSL and travel along a path that meets with the Hume and Hovell Reserve and joins with the Hovells Creek Trail. This goes all the way to the Western Wetlands of Limeburners Lagoon, located on the northern shore of Corio Bay, with the You Yangs looming in the background. Walkers will hear and see a diversity of birdlife as they enter the Wetlands, which is a favoured feeding, roosting and resting habitat for a wide range of water and wading birds and is home to many native plants and animals.
