A call will signal the tempo of the piece – slowly at first and lullaby in nature. Like a train, it builds in tempo, dynamics and layers. The rhythmic elements become stronger. The melody will take its reference from the Maranoa Lullaby and then harmony layers will build. The piece reaches a crescendo. The implements are laid to rest. Stones continue but at a slower tempo. Bordun continues behind a lullaby like melody

Fiona has been teaching and educating for 25 years. She has taught in Early childhood settings, Primary settings as both Generalist and Performing Arts / Music Specialist. Fiona has held positions in both the Government and Private sector and has for the last 15 years has taught and mentored at the tertiary level at Deakin University where she is currently completing her doctorate.
