Feather

Preliminary drawing - Michele Fifer Spooner

Feather, crafted by Michele Fifer Spooner, forms a ‘welcome home’ totem echoing journey and freedom and marking the end of the M~M2016 extreme arts walk.

The trail of feathers that have led Canoe and walkers along M~M’s 80 kilometre contemporary songline from You Yangs Big Rock responds to the Wadawurrung story of how the Creator navigated across land by following the feathers dropped by the Swan sisters.

Beneath Feather, the walking circle in sand is designed by Julie Shaw and installed working with residents of Barwon Heads.
