This walk is on a sealed footpath which climbs to the top of McKillop Street and then travels down to the River.

As you leave Steampacket Gardens early in the morning, say goodbye to the Geelong Carousel  - a steam driven, hand-carved wooden carousel which was constructed in about 1892 and is one of only 200 in operation around the world. It has 36 horses and 2 chariots it was brought here and fully restored in 1996. This is a short walk through the heart of the City centre, along Moorabool Street when the city is peaceful and only starting to stir.
