M~M announces District Co-ordinators for Extreme Arts Walk

Momentum is building towards M~M2016, with a network of District Co-ordinators just announced for Geelong’s Extreme Arts Walk.

M~M2016 (Mountain to Mouth) is a biennial 80km walk in 12 stages across the Geelong and Queenscliffe regions. Along the way, the route will be punctuated by “extreme art”, including a mix of visual arts, soundscape, sculpture, performance, dance, interactive, new media and more.

The seven appointed District Co-ordinators will be responsible for different locations across the walk, supporting artists and community members in the creation of extreme art ‘walking circles’. These walking circles will be positioned in surprising and unusual locations across the 80km walk, and will express something about the unique nature of the locality and its community.

Each District Co-ordinator will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role - coming from diverse backgrounds to work closely with M~M’s Artistic Director, Meme McDonald and the M~M production team in the creation of the walk.
