Matt Crawley

Matt Crawley is a resident of the Bellarine and has worked in community engagement and environment projects in the Mallee, North Central and Geelong region for the past 20 years.   Matt has a passion for the arts and for community environmental projects, and joins M~M2018 with a wealth of experience. Having worked previously on M~M2014, and 2016 he is excited about being involved with a diverse cross section of the community again for M~M2018.

Esther Konings-Oakes

Esther Konig Oakes recently completed her Masters of Art in Public Spaces at RMIT University, and undertook a study tour to Shanghai, China where she investigated aspects of community art practice and compared them to her experiences in the Geelong region. She has worked on many projects in Geelong and Melbourne and also teaches Art and Developing an Arts Practice at Cloverdale Community Centre.

In 2014 Esther joined the team at the City of Greater Geelong as a Coordinator/Artist for the Mountain to Mouth Extreme Arts walk. She has been an M~M District Co-ordinator since then, and was a Walking Circle Artist that year.

Esther has a deep love of the North Geelong community where she lives; and a love of science and the environment. She wholeheartedly believes this project is a unique and important work.

Rachella Thomas

With over 15 years in marketing and events, Rachella Thomas brings a wealth of major event and festival experience. Her work spans across food and wine, arts and culture and mass participation events. Innovative ideas, creative design and engaging experience are defining features of Rachella Thomas’ events. Career highlights include Event Manager for the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival 2007-2011; Project Manager for the State Government Pavilion at Royal Melbourne Show 2011-2012; Major Events Manager for City of Wyndham; Artist Tour Manager (Australia/Nth America) 2002-2003; and more recently Founder and Creative Producer for The Geelong Manual.

Fiona Duncan

For the past 25 years, Fiona Duncan has been an Artist Manager and Consultant in the Australian music industry – working with some high profile acts such as Spiderbait, Justine Clarke and Clare Bowditch.  She was an Event Co-ordinator for the Big Day Out Festival, managed tours of numerous national and international artists, and worked as a Publicist and Radio Announcer on both 3RRR and 3PBS. Since moving to the region, she has become very involved in the local arts community and has been a member of the Barwon Heads Arts Committee. She loves living on the Bellarine with her partner, four children and two dogs.

Suzette Jackson

As a designer, artist and sustainability specialist Suzette works across a range of projects in architecture, urban design, ecology and food systems. In recent years Suzette has been instrumental in numerous regional sustainability initiatives including urban activation with the Australian first Geelong Better Block project, and event management for the Geelong Sustainable Living Festival. Locally Suzette  participated on the Future Proofing Task Group, the Encompass - The Paddock Consultative Committee, Geelong Sustainability Group committee and is currently a host for local community radio 94.7ThePulse.
